Well Up North PCN bookclub meets online every second Thursday of the month on Zoom. We’re a friendly bunch who enjoy a good read and a lively discussion! If you would like to join us – this month’s book is Us Three by Ruth Jones of Gavin n Stacey fame and promises to be a good summer read. Oh – What’s Occurin’??

As part of Greystoke’s Social Prescribing initiative, a new Social Walking Group will be starting on Thursday 10th June. Led by social prescriber Miranda Sheehy and Mind and Sole’s Chrissy Smith, the walks will start every Thursday at 2pm. We will offer two routes to happen at the same time, and reunite at the end for coffee and a chat. One route will be aimed at those who have reasonable mobility and fitness, and who can comfortably walk up to 3 miles. The other route is for those who have limited mobility, and would prefer a much slower, shorter plod with plenty of rest stops. Chrissy and Miranda will provide the coffee and cake afterwards, and will share this outside with careful Covid precautions.
The purpose of these groups is to encourage our patients to get active, socialise, and feel empowered to take control of their own mental health and wellbeing. All ages and abilities are welcome. Please contact miranda.sheehy@nhs.net to book a place or for more info.
Many thanks
