Reception and Secretarial Staff: There are 13 members of staff responsible for administration duties within reception and the office. They are all highly experienced in their duties.

They work Monday – Friday between 8.00am and 6.00pm
As well as performing the usual nursing tasks they can give precise information on travel vaccination. They are able to provide help and support for weight reduction, smoking cessation, chronic disease management and other aspects of health promotion/screening, including taking cervical smears.
District Nurses
The district nurses now work as a team covering Greystoke and Gas House Lane Surgery and are led by Community Matron : Sister Claire Baycroft
They provide a full range of nursing services in patients’ homes and some treatment room sessions. They can be contacted through the surgery.
Health Visitors
Our health visitor is:
- Gillian McPherson
The team are based at Bedlington Hub and provide information, advice and support to all age groups, particularly the young and the elderly.
Community Midwife
Leanne Sheppard is the midwife attached to Greystoke. She will provide care during pregnancy and postnatally in conjunction with your doctor. She can be contacted through Wansbeck Hospital Tel: 01670 521212 and ask for the midwifery manager.
Community Psychiatric Nurses
Your doctor can refer to a Community Psychiatric Nurse. They can help with mental health problems including the elderly confused patient.
Social Services
Social Workers will help with all aspects of social problems and can arrange home helps, occupational therapy, meals on wheels, etc. They can be contacted on 01670 536400.
